About Kendra

Kendra Shaw grew up in Billings and moved back a decade ago to raise her family under the Big Sky. She holds a degree from the University of Montana and an MFA from the Helen Zell Writers' Program at the University of Michigan, where she was also a Zell Postgraduate Fellow. She's worked as a teacher, small business owner, editor & grant writer. Elected to Billings City Council in 2019, she is currently running for a 2nd term representing WARD 1.
